KNOW Clothes

Ethos

At the heart of KNOW are three basic ethics which dictate how we operate:

Ethical ///
We ensure that the product you buy has been ethically traded and manufactured and our suppliers are audited by the Fair Wear Foundation.

Ecological ///
We use a selection of different garments that are all ecologically sound. Some are made from bamboo yarn, which is incredibly soft and a completely renewable resource. While others are manufactured in factories that are powered purely by the wind! Clever hey?

Aware ///
We particularly like to create clothing that makes a stand not only in the way it was manufactured but also in what's on it which is why our designs have been worn by charities campaigners and advocates across the globe.

Supply Chain

We've spent a lot of time ensuring our supply chain is up to our high standards. Our suppliers have the same understanding of the effect we are having on the world as us and they all want to help do something about it.

Some of the fabrics we use are manufactured in developing countries which is something we encourage. We believe that increasing trade is one way that we can help in the fight against poverty. At the same time we're quite careful that we can monitor this supply chain so we can avoid problems such as those that have been recently seen in Uzbekistan.

Because our suppliers are audited we can trust that the right people are being rewarded for their work. And at the end of the day the person that picks the cotton, or waters the field, or transports the raw materials is paid a fair price.
